Care of Mouth After Root Canal Therapy

Chew on the other side of your mouth to avoid any unnecessary stress on your temporary restoration.

Mashing DO NOT bite or chew on any hard or sticky foods, including chewing gum, while you have a temporary restoration.

Continue to brush and floss around your tooth, being extra cautious of your temporary restoration.

If you have any discomfort, you may take over-the-counter medications (i.e. Advil, Ibuprofen, Tylenol).

If your temporary restoration is lost or broken, call the office.

If you experience any severe pain that cannot be controlled with over-the-counter medications, call the office.

A permanent restoration is very important after root canal therapy is performed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call the office or new jersey dentist.
